Thank you very much. I feel terrible about this one. I know we all insure for tragedies, but I am horrified that it costs so much for colic, impaction surgery. I was only going to insure for R20,000, but fear made me take the maximum. I have a sister who lost a horse in December last year because it was kicked and had a broken leg. They shot it. Not nice. We are grateful Vuyukasi was spared. She is only 4 and should have at least a few more good years of life. Once again, thank you.

Yes my big boy Fire Emblem is doing awesome thanx and is 100% sound and am busy bringing him back really slowly into work started last week by just walking him for 15 min and now we are moving the time up to 25 min walking and he is loving it! Had to laugh yesterday as he had is little walk out in the morning and in the afternoon around 4 pm my instructor and I couldn't believe it he was busy cantering around his big paddock saying to me this is a work out and how it's done not the little walk u made me do haha! Have to say it made my heart so happy to see him so happy and sound and healthy. But we will be taking it slow and easy as I do not rush things and he must come back into work in his own time even if it takes months there is no rush Fire Emblem is my life and he means the world to me and I truly am so blessed and grateful for everyone's help in helping him have a second chance in life and mend!

Thanx again to u and the Equipage team for everything! I am truly grateful and will definitely spread the word in how awesome u guys are and promote u to my horsy friends.

Thank you to both you and Equipagé for the way the whole settlement claim was handled.
It has been an extremely difficult and emotional time for me and you have allowed both Flight and I time. I really believed that Flight would improve in the six months and tried all sorts of electomagnetic, homeopathic, massage treatments etc, over and above the medical treatment he received. I am therefore grateful for the understanding and at the same time sad for all of us (Flight, Equipage and me) as we have all been negatively effected.
I am however very thankful for the settlement amount, as I certainly would not even have been able to have contemplated the thought of owning another jumping horse at this stage. I am certainly going to take my time though, as Flight and I put a lot of hours and effort into our sport......

"Just a horse" - unknown author

From time to time, people tell me, 'lighten up, it's just a horse, ' or, 'that's a lot of money for just a horse'.   
They don't understand the distance travelled, the time spent, or the costs involved for 'just a horse.'

Some of my proudest moments have come about with 'just a horse.'
Many hours have passed and my only company was 'just a horse,' but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by 'just a horse,' and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of 'just a horse' gave me comfort and reason to overcome the dark.

Those who think it's 'just a horse,' probably also use phrases like 'just a friend,' 'just a sunrise,' or 'just a promise.' '
‘Just a horse' brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.  'Just a horse' brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person.

Because of 'just a horse' I rise early, take long walks, and look longingly to the future.
So for me and folks like me, it's not 'just a horse' but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.

'Just a horse' brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.

I hope that someday others have the opportunity to understand that it's not 'just a horse' but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being 'just a man.'

So the next time you hear the phrase 'just a horse,' smile.

You are one of the blessed few who understand.
